Welcome & Intro to School
Let the bonding begin! Get to know your fellow Booty Schoolers as we introduce ourselves, tell why we’ve come to the Booty School, and break the ice to this group of women who will surely change your life by the end of the session!
Burlesque History & Culture
Learn where burlesque has started and how it’s developed over the years. Hear it straight from the Legends mouths as we watch old footage and interviews from the women and men who created the scene back in the heyday. There is a long and important lineage to this artform, and though we will only skim the surface, you will be introduced to many incredible figures that revolutionized the scene!
Dance Lessons
Shake, shimmy, bump, and grind. Learn sexy choreographed dance phrases that will emphasize each curve and sass up any attitude. You don’t have to be a trained dancer to move sexy either! Always a fun time and in a no pressure environment where each woman can explore how to move their body the ways that make them feel best!
Pastie Making & Tassel Twirling
In this interactive workshop each student will create their own pair of tasseled pasties (and you’ll have the know-how to repeat and construct more at home!) Then we’ll slap those puppies on and will get the tassels flying and twirling altogether! Nothing bonds a group of women more than twirling tassels together!
Burlesque Costuming
Rhinestones, tear-aways, feathers, oh my! Learn tricks of the trade to create your own burlesque costume (and on a small budget!) Midnite will show you all the basics and secrets needed to equip you to create your own fabulous costume for your new burlesque diva self!
Playing with Props with Peggy Tulane
Peggy Tulane has been performing Burlesque since 2005 and has developed her own style of Performative Poetry and comedy that she incorporates into most of her acts. She received her MFA from CU/Boulder in 2003 in Dance and loves to combine modern dance and aerial dance into her acts as well. In this workshop she will introduce techniques that will help you become comfortable working with props and start to see the endless creative possibilities while developing your own act!
Choreography is your Friend with Honey Touche
Denver’s Sweetheart of Burlesque, Honey Touche, has been in this business for over a decade. That means she has all the right moves to help you feel completely comfortable shaking and shimmying it! Have 2 left feet? Can’t count music to save your life? Honey’s class will cater to everyone! From the basic beginner to the woman who was forced to take ballet as a child and hasn’t stopped dancing since, Honey will teach everyone how to move the burlesque way, giving you tools so that anyone can choreograph a routine to their sweetheart’s favorite song for a nice birthday surprise! Honey is a regular performer and producer at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret and has toured all over the country from San Francisco to New York City and Las Vegas! You can also see her alongside her go-go troupe the Touchettes!
Gloves & Stockings
Gloves and Stockings are burlesque staples that add elegance, tension, fun, and drama to any classic or neo routine. Midnite Martini (lovingly named “Stocking Girl” and winner of “Most Innovative Move” by the Burlesque Guild 2010 for her unique stocking peel) will not only teach you the basics of the glove and stocking reveal, but will also let you in on trade secrets that will help you control and command your peels and their pop! Then you’ll go far beyond the basics to explore new moves, uses, and ideas that the classic glove and stocking has never seen before! And once they’ve popped you’re not done with them yet. You’ll challenge your creativity and investigate how to use the gloves and stockings as props long after they have come off, for the ultimate tease!

Burlesque Booty School Photo Opp with Tatianna TaTa
$25.00 Per Person, date TBD
Now you can use what you learned in your Burlesque and Pinup Posing Class and put it to good use! This additional offer is for those of you who would like the experience of a real photo session! You will have the opportunity to pick 3 poses of your choice to be photographed by the amazing Mel Haynes Jr. in a professional and fun photography studio setting. Your posing instructor Tatianna Tata will be there to guide you, tweak poses, and be your biggest cheerleader!
You are in charge of your own hair and makeup, as well as providing your wardrobe (maybe you can use the costume you’ve created?) As well as any props you would like to use (Boas, gloves, umbrella, fans,etc.)
We will provide a chair, stool, lovely RED backdrop, the lighting… AND a special Perk- You will be able to check your photos as they are taken so that you, the photographer and Tatianna can adjust and tweak anything needed during the photo process.
- Each Lady or Gentleman will receive 20 min. in the studio
- Only One Outfit for this Photo Shoot- So Choose Wisely!
- Bring Your SMILE and your Bodacious Bod!
- Pick 3 Poses and Perfect Them!
Following the shoot, once Mel has finished editing the photos, you will be linked to an online gallery where you will be able to choose 3 Hi-Res Photos to download. (Additional photos will cost more) Keep them for yourself, give them to your lover, or share on FaceBook!

Denver Dance is located near 19th and Quebec. Because the studio is private, the address is sent in a confirmation email after signing up for a class.
